Next-GWiN 2018 - 2018 International Workshop on Next Generation Green Wireless Networks
The 2018 International Workshop on Next Generation Green Wireless Networks (Next-GWiN 2018) will take place from 17th to 18th September 2018 in the University of Sheffield, UK. This 2-day event includes keynote speeches, invited expert talks, panels, PhD student sessions, and demonstration. The conference will bring together a cross section of researchers, especially early career and PhD, interested in energy efficiency in future communications networks.

Bringing together technology specialists, industry leaders and public policy experts, the Summit will seek to identify the key technical, commercial and policy challenges to address in order to achieve sustainability through information and communications technologies (ICT).

The IEEE Green ICT initiative is a Pan IEEE Societies initiative whose mission is to build a holistic approach to sustainability through ICT by incorporating green metrics throughout IEEE technical domains. The initiative has introduced 9 IEEE standards projects in 2017: IEEE P1922.1, IEEE P1922.2, IEEE P1923.1, IEEE P1924.1, IEEE P1925.1, IEEE P1926.1, IEEE P1927.1, IEEE P1928.1 and IEEE P1929.1.
This webinar provides an overview of these 9 new IEEE standards projects. The standards projects are about to start and will run over the next two years. The Webinar will outline ways in which you can contribute to the standards projects and join the working groups.

IEEE Online Conference on Green Communications
The 2016 IEEE Online Conference on Green Communications (OnlineGreenComm) address the challenges in energy-efficient communications and communications for green technologies. To emphasize the need for reducing global greenhouse gas emissions, it will be held completely online from November 14th to 17th. OnlineGreenComm covers a wide spectrum of research subjects, including green methodologies and architectures for communication technologies, communication technologies as enablers for green solutions, energy efficiency in Smart Grid communications, and energy management. This 6th edition will tackle more specifically the topics of Sustainability, Green Wireless, Green Optical and Smart Cities.
