The IEEE Green ICT Initiative congratulates Dr. Earl McCune on his elevation to IEEE Fellow effective 1 January 2018, for leadership in polar modulation circuits and signals.
Each year, following a rigorous evaluation procedure, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a select group of recipients for elevation to IEEE Fellow. Less than 0.1% of voting members are selected annually for this member grade elevation.
Dr. McCune has been instrumental in articulating proposals for hardware efficiency improvement standards now under development. He is a member of the Microwave Theory and Techniques, Communications, Vehicular Technology, Aerospace Engineering, and Circuits and Systems societies in IEEE. Dr. McCune earned his Ph.D. in radio communications from the University of California, Davis, and serves as CTO of Eridan Communications.
